All you need to do is loosen the Lock-it screws by a quarter turn, and you can remove the side pieces to the rear or to the side. As an additional theft protection measure, you can optionally use our lockable Lock-it screws to deter potential thieves. All cases are securely locked onto the carrier with the help of a locking mechanism located on the case. To do this, you'll need the lock adapters, which are usually included with the cases. These adapters are fastened to the right and left of the carrier and provide an attachment point for the case's locking mechanisms. The sturdy construction, made in Germany, consists of high-quality steel tubing and features an excellent surface finish. Installation is generally straightforward, but please refer to the included installation manual. The package includes both right and left carriers, installation materials, and an installation manual. Any restrictions can be found in the vehicle-specific information or the installation manual. These carriers are suitable for most Hepco&Becker hard shell side cases. However, please pay attention to any model-specific instructions if there are any peculiarities. Luggage systems generally do not require ABE or registration. The tube diameter is 16 mm.
